Almost done

We are getting close to finishing up on principal photography on The Gun. Last night we were back to the apartment set in Coral Gables, Florida for some pickup shots and what will end up being John Ullman’s (Adam Fortner’s) final scene in the movie.  As you can see from the production stills our story does not have a happy ending. Then again there is never a happy ending where The Gun is concerned.

All that is left now is some green screen shots and a few miscellaneous outdoor shots.  Soon it will be off to the editing room and that means many late nights for Julio and Rene.

OK I would like to take a moment to say “Congratulations” to everyone involved in filming this beast. A special congrats go out to Anthony, Julio, Rene, and John. We have all taken turns helping out with the film; but these four guys have been the ones consistently there night after night getting things done.

Filming The Gun: The Bodega Shoot

OK people it’s time for another update on The Gun… this time it’s from the Bodega film shoot. Just in case any of you might not know it, a bodega is the latino version of  “the little corner store”… you know, the mom-and-pop kind .  We would also like to take the opportunity to thank Jonathan and Iris Garcia for letting us film at their store. It was the perfect setting for this scene. This scene also introduces Alex Livinalli as “the bodeguero”. Alex does a great job as does Adam Fortner, our lead actor.
